Mens Skin Care Products

To buy mens skin care products does your man need to be a Metrosexual ?

To tell the truth, I had never heard of a metrosexual until fairly recently. Apparently it's a buzz word that has been around since 1994, when it was first used by Mark Simpson, a British journalist.

He defined it as being the trait of an urban male of any sexual orientation who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great amount of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.

Despite never having come across the word before it got me thinking about whether I even knew any men that were metrosexuals.

I must admit my man is a T-shirts, jeans and trainers guy and whilst I do buy him mens skin care products, I know he doesn't like to spend a great deal of time or money on his appearance.

Maybe it's because he belongs to an older generation. But you can also discover how to look your best through grooming, as well as through specific exercise and eating habits.

I have noticed younger men spend far more time looking good and preening themselves in public. So, I guess there are more metrosexuals around than I realized, but by my reckoning my man is not one of them.

However, when it comes to mens skin care products, I know from my own experience it's what women prefer.

So are you a metrosexual or do you know one ?

And can you tell if you are one, by what mens skin care products are in your bathroom cabinet?

My guy will admit that he does like good quality shaving products and rarely does he buy the drugstore variety.

In fact he rarely visits a drug store and prefers to shop for Skin Care, Bath & Body products from online stores. At his favorite online stores he's able to get three of his favorite brands, Ahava, Babor and Jack Black.

Mens skin care productsHe prefers a double edged razor and mens skin care products from either the Jack Black range, or a Lab Series Maximum Comfort Cream.

His razor can sometimes reek havoc on his face without good quality mens skin care products. He says these are among the best he has ever used.

Another in the mens skin care products toolkit I would highly recommend is a good skin moisturizer, one with a built in sun screen, an SPF 15 or greater.

Jack Black Double Duty Face Moisturizer boasts an SPF 20 and is said to encourage collagen production, keeping the skin taut and wrinkle-free. This will truly help to protect your man's best features from the worst effects of the sun's UV rays and help to keep his face looking young and fresh.

Finally, the epitome of mens skin care products and the one that has stood the test of time is aftershave. Purchasing a quality, fine smelling aftershave will reduce razor burn, nourish the skin and might even score points with the ladies.

If you're looking for some fine mens skin care products as a gift and want to save a few bucks, hop online and let your fingers do the walking.
